Can family / friends visit old aged home? if yes, is overnight stay allowed?

Family members/relatives and friends are welcomed to visit residents between 10am to 4pm. Overnight stay are allowed on request, and are subject of the availability of room.

What kind of food is provided to residents of old aged home?

At Pushpagandhi home for Aged, we are providing south Indian meals and it includes fruits, vegetable soups, festivals food etc.

What types of activities are organized for residents?

The activities are planned depending on each person’s abilities. We engage residents in.  Daily walking  Art and rangoli (kolam) making  Yoga sessions (weekly thrice)  Outing (picnic) – monthly  TV time / music play  Festivals Celebration  Games like caram board  Volunteers visits – college & school students

What type of stay available?

As we are a charitable organization, we are providing dormitory facility to stay for all our residents. One medical room for sick residents.

Is there a doctor on the premises?

We have a visiting Doctor, who is visiting twice in a week and also available on-call to attend to Pushpagandhi home’s residents.

How Pushpagandhi Home handle emergencies?

In case of emergency, Pushpagandhi moves the residents to the nearest hospital and carries out the admission process. Thereafter, a family member, local guardian is contacted and he/she signed off on subsequent treatment. If resident is orphan OR abandoned by family members, our home in-charge will take care of all responsibilities.

What serviced do you offer under basic health monitoring? The basic healthcare management includes:

Blood pressure checking Sugar levels checking Body temperature checking Nutrient intake – monitoring Monthly assessment by Doctor Facilitating physiotherapy
